Permasalahan air pada kolam ikan menjadi kurang sehat diantaranya akibat terik matahari berkepanjangan yang menyebabkan temperatur air menjadi naik atau kurang stabil. Air yang tidak bersirkulasi juga menyebabkan air mengalami perubahan warna air yang terlalu pekat dan keruh yang menyebabkan kondisi pH pada kolam ikan menjadi asam.
