Pemerintah Kota Surakarta berupaya mengembangkan wisata kampung kota untuk meningkatkan daya tarik wisata dan pariwisata yang bisa berdampak bagi peningkatan kesejahteraan masyarakat di kampung. Beberapa kelurahan memiliki potensi termasuk Kelurahan Sudiroprajan.
