ANALISIS PENERAPAN TERAPI RELAKSASI OTOT PROGRESIF PADA KLIEN DENGAN MASALAH KEPERAWATAN MANAGEMEN KESEHATAN TIDAK EFEKTIF PADA TAHAP PERKEMBANGAN KELUARGA USIA LANJUT
π Abstract
Background Hypertension is a condition where there is an increase in blood pressure which gives symptoms that will continue to a target organ such as stroke for the brain, coronary heart disease for the heart arteries, and right ventricular hypertrophy for the heart muscle. The management of hypertension is divided into two ways, namely non- pharmacological and pharmacological. Non-pharmacological therapy is therapy without the use of drug agents in the therapeutic process, while pharmacological therapy uses drugs or compounds which in their work can reduce the patient's blood pressure. One of the non- pharmacological therapies is progressive muscle relaxation therapy. Objective Analyzing progressive muscle relaxation therapy in clients with health management nursing problems is not effective at the developmental stage of the elderly family in Pleret. Method This type of research is descriptive using a case study approach. Result After nursing intervention by giving progressive muscle relaxation therapy there was an effect of progressive muscle relaxation therapy on hypertension that occurred in Mr.Y and Mrs.M, before giving progressive muscle relaxation therapy Mr.Y's blood pressure was 150/80 mmHg and after the Mangalami intervention was carried out decrease in blood pressure to 140/80 mm Hg. In Mrs.M before giving progressive muscle relaxation therapy, blood pressure was 160/80 mmHg and after the intervention, her blood pressure decreased to 150/80 mmHg. Conclusion There is an effect of progressive muscle relaxation therapy on hypertension with ineffective health management nursing problems that occur in Mr.Y and Mrs.M
