This study aims to determine the mechanism for implementing land acquisition fordevelopment in the public interest in Forest Areas and to determine the conformityof the policy of Government Regulation Number 19 of 2021 concerningImplementation of Land Procurement for Development in the Public Interest withGovernment Regulation Number 23 of 2021 concerning Implementation ofForestry in regulating the implementation of procurement. land for development forpublic interest in Forest Areas. The previous regulation related to Land Acquisitionfor Development in the Public Interest experienced several problems in itsimplementation, one of which was obstacles in obtaining land in Forestry areas.Therefore, a new regulation was issued as a solution for implementing LandProcurement for Development in the Public Interest in Forestry areas through LawNumber 11 of 2020 concerning Job Creation and its derivative rules. GovernmentRegulation Number 19 of 2021 concerning Implementation of Land Procurementfor Development in the Public Interest and Government Regulation Number 23 of2021 concerning Implementation of Forestry are part of the derivative rules of theJob Creation Act. This research belongs to the type of normative juridical researchon issues related to the synchronization of land acquisition regulations withregulations in the forestry sector. This research is descriptive, using a statutoryapproach. Data and research materials were obtained by conducting libraryresearch, which consisted of primary legal materials, secondary legal materials, andtertiary legal materials. The data analysis method is carried out by analyzingqualitative data, namely normative juridical which is presented descriptively, whichdescribes a policy related to the synchronization of land acquisition regulations withforestry regulations. Based on the results of the study, it was concluded thatGovernment Regulation Number 19 of 2021 concerning Implementation of LandProcurement for Development in the Public Interest and Government RegulationNumber 23 of 2021 concerning Implementation of Forestry were synchronized withone another, but still needed synergy in several ways. Based on the thingsmentioned above, the authors suggest the need for implementing regulations in theforestry sector that regulate the time period for the completion of the issuance ofpermits or approvals so that the time can be estimated so that it does not drag on. Inaddition, it is necessary to synchronize and harmonize the laws and regulations inthe Land and Forestry Sector, by providing the right basis for the management ofland used as forest, to ensure legal certainty and orderly administration of landwithin the scope of Forest Zone land.Keywords : synchronization, Land Procurement, Public interest, forestry, andomnibus law
