ANALISIS HUKUM PIDANA DALAM PEMBERANTASAN TINDAK PIDANA KORUPSI DI WILAYAH HUKUM POLRES BAUBAU

This study aims to determine the legal setting, the factors causing theoccurrence of corruption, the process of handling corruption and efforts to eradicatecorruption in the future in the jurisdiction of the Baubau Police.The method used in this study is a normative legal research method, whichis a method based on a literature study to obtain materials that are in accordancewith the research issue. In collecting data using library research tools and interviewsFrom the data above, it can be concluded that with various factors thatcause corruption, in the process of handling corruption, Law Enforcement Officialsmust stick to the corruption law that has been in effect by prioritizing criminalresponsibility with a fast and transparent process and sanctions that apply soobvious that it can cause confusion. As part of efforts to eradicate corruption in thefuture, it is necessary to emphasize on returning assets resulting from corruption asa form of recovering state losses, which should be maximized.Keywords : Causes, and efforts to eradicate corruption
