The general election is a democratic party for the people to be able toexercise their constitutional rights in politics both to be elected and elected, in the2018 Election which is held simultaneously there is a dispute between prospectivecandidates and election organizers, in this case the Baubau KPU which must beresolved in accordance with the mechanism, prevailing statutory procedures andregulations.The problem in this research is How the Dispute Resolution of the 2018Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Baubau Election Process by Baubau City Bawaslu inCase 02 / PS / PW / 28.02 / II / 2018, What are the obstacles of Baubau CityBawaslu in Dispute Resolution for the Election Process of Baubau Mayor andDeputy Mayor year 2018 in Case 02 / PS / PW / 28.02 / II / 2018.The research method used is normative juridical research supported byempirical data through interviews with related parties. The results of this researchare that the Bawaslu of BauBau City in resolving this case, after receiving thePetitioner's petition then formed a mediation / adjudication team, then summonedthe Petitioner and the Respondent for Mediation but the Mediation was notachieved. Then the Adjudication session continues until at the end theAdjudication Council decides, Partially Grants the Petitioners' Petition, Cancelingthe Decree of the General Election Commission of the Republic of IndonesiaNumber 20 / PL.03.3-Kpt / 7472 / Kota / II / 2018 concerning the Determinationof Candidate Pairs for Mayor and Deputy Mayor Election Baubau Year 2018 andits Attachments and Instruct the South Sumatra Provincial KPU to implement thedecision no later than 3 (three) days after the decision is read. The obstacle inresolving disputes in the Election Process is the difference in interpretation of theprevailing laws and regulations between the Adjudication Council and theRespondent as well as the full Internal and External Obstacles requiredFulfillment of the Completion Instruments in Session for Bawaslu of Baubau City.Keywords: Dispute Resolution, General Election, Election Supervisory Body
