PERANAN SATUAN INTELIJEN KEAMANAN KEPOLISIAN DALAM MENGUNGKAP TINDAK PIDANA: (Studi Kasus Tindak Pidana Pembunuhan di Kota Baubau)

This study aims to determine and analyze the role of the Police SecurityIntelligence Unit in uncovering the crime of murder in Baubau City and to findout and analyze the obstacles to the Police Security Intelligence Unit inuncovering the crime of murder in Baubau City. This research was conducted inBuabau City, Southeast Sulawesi Province, to be precise at the Baubau PoliceResort.Data and information collection was carried out by the author at theBaubau Resort Police. Types and sources of data obtained are through interviewsas primary data and are supported by secondary data from books, laws andregulations and others. The data obtained will be processed and analyzed based onthe formulation of the problem so that a clear picture can be obtained and thenanalyzed by qualitative data analysis which is presented descriptively, namelyexplaining, describing and describing clearly and concretely of the objectdiscussed in order to obtain an answer that is in accordance with the problemclosely. relation to this research.Based on the data analysis, the following results were obtained: (1) Therole of Intelligence of the Baubau Resort Police in disclosing the crime of murder,namely carrying out activities and operations of judicial intelligence orinvestigations to collect data or information that can be used as evidence ofwhether or not a crime of murder has occurred which is subsequently evidence issubmitted to the leadership or interested parties for further decision making. (2)The obstacles faced by the Baubau Resort Police Intelligence in disclosing thecrime of murder are the lack of Human Resources possessed by the IntelligenceFunction of the Baubau Resort Police and the limited budget funds provided whilemany cases have to be handled.Keywords: Intelligence, Police and Murder
