PERLINDUNGAN HUKUM BAGI ANAK PELAKU TINDAK PIDANA DALAM PROSES PERADILAN PIDANA PADA POLRES BAUBAU

Children are the future of our civilization, our treatment of our childrennow is the same as we are structuring and determining the direction of ourcivilization, therefore it is necessary to be careful and care about the future of ourcivilization with the equivalent that our concern for children is our concern for thefuture of our civilization.This study aims to determine the legal protection and rights of minorswho commit criminal acts in Baubau City. This research includes the typology ofjuridical normative and sociological juridical research. The research was collectedby means of document / literature study and interviews with investigators at theBauBau Police. The analysis was carried out using a statutory approach.The results of the study show that in general the protection of childrenwho commit criminal acts is in accordance with Article 3 of Law Number 11 of2012 concerning the Child Criminal Justice System. Rights and legal protectionfor children who commit criminal acts in addition to being in accordance withLaw Number 11 of 2012, also meet the criteria for the principle of legal protectionprinciples, namely 1) Children cannot fight alone; 2) The best interests of thechild; 3) The recycle of life; and 4) Cross-cutting.The criteria for investigators to fulfill children's rights and legalprotection are in accordance with Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning theCriminal Justice System for Children.Keywords: Child Perpetrators of Crime, Legal Protection,
