PERAN PEMBIMBING KEMASYARAKATAN DALAM PENYELESAIAN PERKARA PIDANA ANAK DI TINGKAT PERSIDANGAN : (Studi Pada Balai Pemasyarakatan Kelas II Klaten)

The purpose of this research is to find out and analyze the role ofcommunity counselors in solving child criminal cases at the trial level in theworking area of the Class II Correctional Center in Klaten and to find out andanalyze the obstacles in solving child criminal cases at the trial level in the working area of the Class II Correctional Center. II Klaten. Settlement of criminal acts committed by children by means of trial is asettlement that prioritizes the interests and provides protection to the child.Article 55 of Law Number 11 of 2012 concerning the Child Criminal JusticeSystem. The article states that every settlement of child crime at trial puts childprotection first.This type of research used in this research uses empirical legal research,with a descriptive analytical research approach. This study uses secondary data asinitial data and then continues with primary data or field data. The data obtainedfrom both field studies and document studies is basically data that is analyzeddescriptively qualitatively, that is, after the data has been collected, it is thenpoured in the form of a logical and systematic description, then analyzed to obtainclarity in solving the problems in this study.The results showed that the role of community counselors in solving childcriminal cases at the trial level in the working area of the Klaten Class IICorrectional Center needs to be improved again, because it is not in accordancewith the provisions of the applicable laws. Constraints in the Resolution ofCriminal Cases for Children at the Trial Level in the working area of the KlatenClass II Correctional Center include: Need to increase human resources andfacilities used for handling child cases; Investigators in applying articles that aresuspected of being inappropriate for children; Difficulty meeting clients when theCommunity Advisor visits clients; Lack of Support from Family CounselorClients in the implementation of mentoring;
