Abstract
Background: Integrated Service Posts (Posyandu) are a form of community-based health service focused on maternal and child care, monitoring toddler growth and development, and preventing stunting. For Community Health Centers (Puskesmas), Posyandu is a flagship program that supports the achievement of community health indicators. Objective: To review the role, effectiveness, and challenges of Posyandu as a flagship activity, and to provide recommendations for program strengthening. Method: Activities are implemented through a direct approach to the community through lectures, health education, nutrition education, child growth and development monitoring, and maternal and child counseling, supported by cadres and health workers at the Puskesmas. Result: The Posyandu service program has increased the coverage of maternal and child health services, reduced the prevalence of malnutrition, and served as a means of community empowerment. However, the program's success is still influenced by cadre motivation, logistical support, and guidance from the Puskesmas. Conclusion: Posyandu has great potential as a flagship activity for community health efforts in Puskesmas work areas. Strengthening cadre capacity, managerial support, and integrating digital innovation are key to the program's sustainability and effectiveness.
