Abstract
Background: Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is an infectious disease transmitted through the bite of the Aedes aegypti mosquito. This disease is a global problem, especially in tropical and subtropical countries. Indonesia is one of the countries endemic to DHF cases with an increasing incidence rate every year. Kudus Regency is one of the endemic areas of DHF in Central Java Province with a fairly high incidence of DHF every year. Objective: To increase the knowledge and awareness of the school community about the importance of maintaining a clean school environment to prevent and control DHF. Method: This community service was carried out in several stages, namely preparation, visitation, monitoring, and evaluation. Result: The school community showed a fairly good attitude and concern in the DHF prevention and control program. Conclusion: Most schools have achieved an understanding status which means that the school can assist the work program of the local Health Center and the health office in efforts to prevent and control DHF in the school environment.
