Abstract
Background: The prevalence of anemia is still high, and knowledge of adolescent girls about anemia is still limited and is often ignored. Teenage girls who are anemic will experience difficulty concentrating on studying, decreased physical activity, and antibodies, and in the long term, this will have an impact on pregnancy. Objective: This service aims to increase young women's knowledge in preventing anemia by checking hemoglobin levels and administering blood supplement tablets. Method: The method of service in this activity is health education, with the leaflet media, then the activity is followed by Hb checking using easy touch and 3 cc blood collection (especially for young women). Service is carried out in several stages: preparation, implementation, and evaluation. Result: Female students showed a good understanding of anemia prevention. This is demonstrated through discussion sessions where students communicate with staff and other students. The data showed 27.8% of female teenage students had anemia. All young female students have been given Blood Supplement Tablets (BST). Conclusion: The service at SMA N 1 Toroh went smoothly, with the female students attending very enthusiasticin the consultation session about anemia, paying close attention to the laflets and asking questions. This activity ended with a hemoglobin check as an effort to detect anemia and distribution tablets for young women.
