Pemeriksaan Infeksi Kecacingan Pada Pekerja Pemetik Daun Teh

Latar belakang: Infeksi kecacingan termasuk salah satu penyakit yang diabaikan. Kasusnya masih tinggi di berbagai wilayah. Jenis cacing yang sering menginfeksi dan paling potensial memberikan dampak klinis adalah cacing tambang baik Ancylostoma spp maupun Necator americanus. Tujuan: untuk mengetahui kejadian infeksi cacing tambang pada pekerja pemetik daun teh.  Metode: Studi cross-sectional dilakukan pada seluruh pekerja pemetik daun teh di PT Medini Kabupaten Kendal. Teknik wawancara untuk mengukur variabel perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat didukung pengujian laboratorium terhadap specimen feses untuk melihat adanya infeksi cacing tambang. Hasil: Sebanyak 4 orang positif terinfeksi cacing tambang dari 28 orang pekerja (14,29%). Perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat responden selama bekerja di perkebunan sebagian besar termasuk kategori buruk (96,43%). Sebagian rumah responden masih berlantai tanah.Tidak ada hubungan antara perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat dengan kejadian infeksi cacing tambang pada para pekerja pemetik daun teh. Kesimpulan: Masih ada potensi penularan infeksi cacing tambang pada para pekerja pemetik daun teh. Walaupun tidak ada hubungan dengan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat namun tatus yang buruk seyogyanya tetap menjadi perhatian untuk ditingkatkan.

Abstract
Background: Worm infection is one of the neglected diseases. Cases are still high in many areas. The type of worm that often infects and has the potential to have a clinical impact is hookworm, both Ancylostoma spp, and Necator americanus. Objective: To determine the incidence of hookworm infection in tea leaf pickers. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on all tea leaf pickers at PT Medini, Kendal District. The interview technique to measure the variables of clean and healthy living behavior was supported by laboratory testing of fecal specimens to see the presence of hookworm infection. Results: A total of 4 people were positive for hookworm infection from 28 workers (14.29%). Most of the respondents' clean and healthy living behavior while working on plantations was in a bad category (96.43%). Some of the respondent's houses still have earth floors. There is no relationship between clean and healthy living behavior and the incidence of hookworm infection among tea leaf pickers. Conclusion: There is still a potential for transmission of hookworm infection among tea leaf pickers. Although there is no relationship between clean and healthy living behavior, poor status should still be a concern to be improved.
