Edukasi Penggunaan Kelambu Berinsektisida Di Daerah Pre Eliminasi Malaria Dengan Pendekatan Kunjungan Rumah

Latar belakang: Penyakit malaria yang disebabkan genus Plasmodium masih menjadi masalah kesehatan global. Penularan dan penyebarannya sangat dipengaruhi oleh keberadaan vektor  Anopheles. Salah satu upaya untuk mereduksi kasus adalah dengan program pembagian kelambu berinsektisida pada penduduk daerah endemik malaria.  Tujuan: Untuk memantau penggunaan kelambu berinsektisida pada masyarakat setelah tiga tahun pembagian sekaligus melakukan edukasi ulang sebagai upaya optimalisasi fungsi kelambu. Metode: Pengabdian ini dilaksanakan di Desa Ngadirejo RT.01 RW.02 Kecamatan Kaligesing Kabupaten Purworejo dalam bentuk kegiatan edukasi kunjungan rumah. Hasil: Seluruh responden mendapatkan pembagian kelambu berinsektisida masing-masing sebanyak 2 helai, kecuali satu keluarga yang baru memisahkan diri dari keluarga inti. Kelambu yang dibagikan sudah digunakan oleh responden walaupun tidak semua anggota keluarga tidur dalam kelambu. Pencucian kelambu telah dilakukan oleh seluruh responden menggunakan detergen dan sebagian menjemurnya di panas matahari langsung.  Kesimpulan: Seluruh responden masih menggunakan kelambu pembagian walaupun tidak digunakan untuk semua anggota keluarga. Sebaiknya dilakukan pencelupan insektisida ulang agar kelambu tetap berfungsi baik, serta dilakukan edukasi berkala agar pemakaian kelambu tetap berjalan sesuai harapan program.

Abstract
Background: Malaria caused by the genus Plasmodium is still a global health problem. The presence of the Anopheles vector strongly influences transmission and spread. One of the efforts to reduce cases is the distribution of insecticide-treated mosquito nets to residents of malaria-endemic areas. Objective: To monitor the use of insecticide-treated mosquito nets in the community after three years of distribution as well as to conduct re-education in an effort to optimize the function of the mosquito nets. Methods: This service was carried out in Ngadirejo Village, RT.01 RW.02, Kaligesing District, Purworejo Regency in the form of home visit education activities. Results: All respondents received 2 pieces of insecticide-treated mosquito nets each, except for one family who had just separated from the nuclear family. The mosquito nets distributed have been used by the respondents although not all family members sleep under the mosquito nets. All respondents washed the mosquito nets using detergent and some of them dried them in direct sunlight. Conclusion: All respondents still use distribution nets even though they are not used for all family members. It is advisable to re-dip the insecticide so that the mosquito nets continue to function properly, and periodic education is carried out so that the use of the mosquito nets continues as expected by the program.
