Abstract
Background: Bener Village is one of the areas in Tengaran District, Semarang Regency which is located at the foot of Merbabu Mountain in the north which is directly adjacent to Salatiga City. Most of it is still in the form of rice fields and fields with a total population of 5939, this should make Bener Village a village that has the potential to have high income from the area and human resources it has. However, judging from the results of observations, there is still a lot of lack of awareness from human resources, especially farmers and traders to process the produce of Bener Village to be made into various products with high selling value. Methods: The method used in this community service activity is in the form of direct training on making Putu Ayu Corn which is interesting and easy to understand so that it is possible to practice it yourself at home. The stages we carry out in community service activities, include the preparation of mentoring programs from the preparation, manufacture, packaging, and marketing of Putu Ayu Corn. Result: This community service activity can run well, the community feels happy to take part in this activity because get new knowledge that they can develop later, and through this service activity the community is taught that they can use corn not only to be sold as animal feed but can be processed into food that is worth selling. Conclusion: The conclusion from this community service is that corn farmers in the village of Benar have been able to understand well that corn is not only useful for selling for animal feed but can also be processed to be used as food that can be sold.
