πŸ“„ Abstract

The results of a preliminary study showed that data on asthma sufferers in 2020 was 350 cases of asthma and in 2022 there were 424. From the data above, an increase can be seen in 2021. The research design used was quantitative with a research design Quasy Experiment. The aim of this research was to determine whether there was an effect of pursed lip breathing technique training on respiratory frequency. The research results show the effect of pursed lip breathing technique training on respiratory frequency in asthma sufferers. The conclusion of the research results in the intervention group on respiratory frequency was that the results were significant with a p value = value (0.04), which means that statistically in the intervention group there was a difference between before and after pursed lip breathing was carried out, in the results of the paired sample t test on respiratory frequency in asthma sufferers. The author's advice to respondents is to always practice the pursed lips breathing technique correctly and regularly, apart from that, respondents must also comply with other therapies such as diet and medical therapy.
