Fraudsters increasingly exploit unauthorized credit card information for financial gain, targeting un-suspecting users, especially as financial institutions expand their services to semi-urban and rural areas. This, in turn, has continued to ripple across society, causing huge financial losses and lowering user trust implications for all cardholders. Thus, banks cum financial institutions are today poised to implement fraud detection schemes. Five algorithms were trained with and without the app...

This research aims to improve the effectiveness of lung cancer classification performance using Support Vector Machines (SVM) with hyperparameter tuning. Using Radial Basis Function (RBF) kernels in SVM helps deal with non-linear problems. At the same time, hyperparameter tuning is done through Random Grid Search to find the best combination of parameters. Where the best parameter settings are C = 10, Gamma = 10, Probability = True. Test results show that the tuned SVM improves accuracy, precisi...

A Review of Generative Models for 3D Vehicle Wheel Generation and Synthesis
Journal of Computing Theories and Applications
Vol 1
, No 4
(2024)
Integrating deep learning methodologies is pivotal in shaping the continuous evolution of computer-aided design (CAD) and computer-aided engineering (CAE) systems. This review explores the integration of deep learning in CAD and CAE, particularly focusing on generative models for simulating 3D vehicle wheels. It highlights the challenges of traditional CAD/CAE, such as manual design and simulation limitations, and proposes deep learning, especially generative models, as a solution. The study aim...

Stunting is a developmental disorder in children caused by poor nutrition, repeated infections, and inadequate psychosocial stimulation. A child can be defined as stunted if his age height is more than two standard deviations, below the provisions of the Child Growth Standard. The high incidence of stunting in Indonesia is one of the factors due to people's misunderstanding about stunting where they consider it reasonable about the proportion of their children's height, the mother's understandin...

Strategic Feature Selection for Enhanced Scorch Prediction in Flexible Polyurethane Form Manufacturing
Journal of Computing Theories and Applications
Vol 1
, No 3
(2024)
The occurrence of scorch during the production of flexible polyurethane is a significant issue that negatively impacts foam products' resilience and generally jeopardizes their integrity. The likelihood of foam product failure can be decreased by optimizing production variables based on machine learning algorithms used to predict the occurrence of scorch. Investigating technology is required because prevention is the best approach to dealing with this problem. Hence, machine learning algorithms...
