Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memanfaatkan limbah sabut buah lontar/siwalan untuk dijadikan adsorben zat warna merilan biru. Sabut buah lontar dipreparasi dengan ukuran 80 mesh kemudian dilakukan optimasi uji penyerapan metilen biru. Melalui proses adsorpsi, filtrat diuji untuk mengetahui konsentrasi filtrat menggunakan spektrofotometer UV-Vis.
