Long-run dynamics and error correction mechanism of inflation in Indonesia: a vector error correction model approach
This study examines the impact of BI Rate fluctuations and exchange rate movements on inflation stability in Indonesia from August 2016 to August 2025. The Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) maps long-term, short-term, and dynamic responses among variables. VECM estimations reveal a significant long-term equilibrium with an Exchange Rate coefficient of 1.9314 and a BI Rate coefficient of -0.0917. These findings highlight a high exchange rate pass-through, in which price stability is more sensi...

Identifying key determinants of students' mathematics achievement using lasso regression
Cognitive, socioeconomic, and instructional factors influence students' mathematics achievement. However, modeling these determinants becomes challenging when the number of predictors is relatively large compared to the available sample size, potentially leading to unstable estimates in conventional regression models. This study aims to identify key determinants of students' mathematics achievement using the Least Absolute Shrinkage and Selection Operator (LASSO) regression approach and to const...

The implementation of regional autonomy and fiscal decentralization aims to enhance local governments' financial independence. However, fiscal imbalances between the central and regional governments led to the enactment of Law Number 1 of 2022 (UU HKPD), designed to strengthen regional fiscal capacity. This law introduces a piggyback tax system through a surcharge on the Motor Vehicle Tax. This study analyzes the dynamics of the piggyback tax system in Semarang City, focusing on the implications...

Agricultural waste biomass is explored as a sustainable precursor for activated carbon. In this study, rice husk-derived activated carbon (RHAC) was synthesized via microwave-assisted pyrolysis and KOH activation at 600, 700, and 800 °C. The KOH activation enhanced the thermal stability of the samples, with RHAC_700 exhibiting a spongy, interconnected structure and a surface area of 390.33 m² g⁻¹. When evaluated as a half-cell anode materials for lithium-ion batteries, RHAC_700 delivered an init...

This study aims to examine the extent to which taxpayers’ attitudes toward e-filing influence tax compliance, with the implementation of e-filing positioned as a mediating variable among employees of PT Selalu Cinta Indonesia (SCI) registered at the Primary Tax Office (KPP Pratama) of Salatiga City. The population comprised 18,244 employees, from which a sample of 100 respondents was selected using purposive sampling. Data were processed and analyzed using simple linear regression and path analy...

This study aimed to evaluate the antibacterial potential of Nephthea sp. extract against Escherichia coli and to analyze the phytochemical constituents present in Nephthea sp. using various solvents. The extraction process was carried out using the maceration method with three different solvents: n-hexane, ethyl acetate, and methanol. The resulting extracts were analyzed through phytochemical screening and antibacterial activity assays. The results showed that Nephthea sp. extract contained seve...

TESTING OF DEXAMETHASONE TOXICITY TO CARDIOMETABOLIC AND MALFORMATION OF ZEBRAFISH (Danio rerio Hamilton, 1882) LARVAE
This study aims to evaluate the toxicity effects of dexamethasone on survival, hatching, cardiometabolic function, and the emergence of malformations in zebrafish larvae (Danio rerio), a vertebrate model organism. The study was conducted during the embryonic to early larval phase (0 – 96 hpf) using an in vivo experimental design with complete randomization, following the Zebrafish Embryo Toxicity Test (ZFET) approach, in accordance with OECD 236 guidelines. Zebrafish embryos were exposed to va...

INFLUENCE OF LACTATION STATUS ON DAILY BEHAVIOUR OF ADULT FEMALE LONG-TAILED MACAQUES (Macaca fascicularis) IN AN EX-SITU BREEDING COLONY
This study aimed to analyse the influence of lactation status on the daily behaviour of adult female M. fascicularis in a breeding colony at CV. INQUATEX, Bogor, Indonesia. To achieve this, ten adult females, five lactating and five non-lactating, were observed using the scan sampling method after a habituation period. Observations were conducted twice daily, in the morning (7–9 a.m) and the afternoon (2-4 p.m.), at 5-minute intervals for 14 consecutive days. During these sessions, behavioural c...

Evaluating Civil Servant Selection through Machine Learning Analysis of National Insight, General Intelligence, and Personal Characteristics Test Scores
This study analyzes the score distribution of 2,490 candidates in the 2024 Ministry of Finance Public sector recruitment, focusing on the CNI, GIT, and PCT sections using machine learning classification. Models used include Logistic Regression (accuracy 0.7897), Random Forest (0.9779), and XGBoost (0.9809), all trained with default parameters (n_estimators=100, max_depth=None) and evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. While ensemble models outperformed Logistic Regression, t...
