Poli asam laktat (PLA) yang dibuat pada penelitian ini menggunakan asam laktat dari bahan baku limbah ampas pati aren. Polimerisasi asam laktat menjadi poli asam laktat (PLA) dilakukan dengan metode ring opening polymerizaton pada suhu 170○C dan tekanan 152 mmHg.
