Intisari  Tiga jenis pupuk kimia utama yaitu Urea, TSP/SP 36 dan KCL setiap saat mengalami kenaikan permintaan guna memenuhi kebutuhan petani untuk meningkatkan produksi pangan. Dari ketiga jenis pupuk tersebut , urea merupakan pupuk yang menjadi pilihan utama petani. Hal ini dikarenakan kandungan N tinggi (46,6%), bersifat non polar dan mudah larut serta mempunyai daya higroskopis yang lebih rendah dari pupk N –nitrat.
