Analisis Konflik dan Resolusi Perdamaian: Studi Kasus Konflik Lahan Perkebunan Pangalengan 2002-2015

Indonesia is an agrarian country where the majority of the population works in the agricultural and plantation sectors. This has resulted in Indonesia having a large amount of plantation land spread across the country. However, the large amount of plantation land can give rise to various problems, such as conflicts. One example of such a conflict is the dispute between the plantation community in Pangalengan, West Java, and PT. Perseroan Terbatas Perkebunan Nusantara (PTPN) VIII. The conflict began when PTPN VIII occupied tea plantation land in Pangalengan to use as temporary shelter for earthquake victims. Over time, the local community demanded permanent land rights to use the area as their permanent residence. Due to these conflicting interests, the Pangalengan plantation conflict escalated into violence. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research method, emphasizing literature review through a conflict and peace theory approach. The study aims to analyze the resolution of the agrarian conflict between the Pangalengan farmers and PTPN VIII through political and social approaches. The resolution of the plantation conflict in Pangalengan, West Java, was carried out through several stages. The research findings indicate that the conflict resolution was achieved through a consensus-building process between the Pangalengan farmers and PTPN VIII. Both parties undertook various negotiation efforts to reach a mutual agreement to resolve the conflict.
