Kebijakan Penanggulangan Tindak Pidana Korupsi Di Wilayah Hukum Kota Surakarta Dalam Praktik Penegakan Hukum Di Tingkat Kejaksaan (Studi Penelitian Pada Kejaksaan Negeri Surakarta)

Corruption is a criminal act that is extra ordinary crime. Corruption is a common enemy of the Indonesian nation which should not be taken lightly, so handling it must be extra serious compared to other crimes, because this type of criminal act of corruption has a broad impact on the welfare of the people of a nation. The method in this research is a normative-empirical method, combining literature data and field data obtained from the Surakarta district attorney's office. The results of the research and discussion show that in terms of formulation, especially in the provisions of Article 2 Paragraph (2) in Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes in conjunction with Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption Crimes, it has a weakness which means that it cannot be implemented in law enforcement in Indonesia. On the other hand, research findings at the Surakarta District Prosecutor's Office have made efforts to overcome criminal acts of corruption using non-penal approaches and penal efforts. Non-penal efforts are carried out through outreach regarding criminal acts of corruption in government agencies that have the authority to manage APBN funds and outreach in the community and in schools as an effort to overcome criminal acts early. Apart from that, there is also the implementation of penal facilities with efforts to implement criminal sanctions against perpetrators of criminal acts of corruption in the jurisdiction of the city of Surakarta.
