📄 Abstract

Energy is the most vital basic need today, after food. Energy needs that continue to increase are not matched by energy production. Energy from renewable sources provides a solution to overcome the existing energy crisis. Indonesia has promising renewable energy sources. However, until now its utilization and share is still very small. The purpose of this research is to utilize renewable energy sources that are abundantly available into a simple power plant in Belik, Pemalang. A solar power plant has been successfully built in the Belik area, Pemalang by utilizing 3 100wp solar panels. The power generated by the solar panels is sufficient to supply 400 watts of electrical energy for 2 hours and 42 minutes. Charging time to full power is also relatively fast, which is less than 2 hours. Although currently the power storage capacity is still small, because it only uses 1 72Ah 12V battery, the power capacity of the power plant can still be increased by adding the number of batteries. This of course will have an impact on increasing the duration and capacity of the power that can be used. The existence of a renewable energy power plant in the Belik area is expected to be able to make a real contribution to local residents both in terms of social and economic sustainability.
