STUDI KONDUKTIVITAS TERMAL KOMPOSIT GEOPOLIMER DENGAN MATRIKS HDPE DAUR ULANG SEBAGAI BAHAN INTERIOR DOOR TRIM KENDARAAN
đ Abstract
This study discusses the study of the thermal conductivity of geopolymer composites with recycled High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) matrices and unsaturated polyester as vehicle interior door trim materials. The choice of bentonite because it can inhibit the temperature of the heat so that it can be applied to the car door trim. The choice of method in making samples using the hotpress tool on HDPE clay bentonite matrix composites, because this is the simplest method and does not require a lot of cost. The instrument for testing specimens is the Thermal Conductivity testing machine model HVS - 40 - 200 SE, with ASTM D 5470 - 06 test standard Standard Test Method for Thermal Transmission Properties of Thermally Conductive Electrical Insulation Materials. The results of the thermal conductivity test showed that the bentonite composite had an effect as a heat retardant with the results of the test which obtained the maximum thermal conductivity value at the volume fraction of 0% at 0.206 W / mK, while the lowest was at the 15% volume fraction at 0.151 W / mK This shows that the increasing number of bentonite powders used, the smaller the value of thermal conductivity.
