E-Dimas: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat, with ISSN number 2087-3565 (print) and ISSN 2528-5041 (online), is a scientific multidisciplinary journal published by the Institute for Research and Community Service, Universitas PGRI Semarang. E-Dimas (Educations-Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat) focuses primarily on developing sciences in community service. The scope of community service includes training, marketing, local food security, Appropriate Technology (TTG), design, community empowerment, social access, border areas, underdeveloped areas, and education for sustainable development. Community service contains various activities for handling and managing multiple potentials, obstacles, challenges, and problems in the community. The implementation of community service activities also involves community participation and partners. These community service activities are arranged in an activity that aims to improve community welfare. The purpose of this journal publication is to disseminate conceptual thinking or ideas that have been achieved in community service. Starting in 2020, E-Dimas: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat is published four times a year, namely in March, June, September, and December.
Aim & Scope
E-Dimas: Jurnal Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat mainly focuses on developing knowledge of community service. The scope of community service includes: Applied Technology Applying scientific knowledge and technology to the practical aims of human life or the change of the human environment. It includes the use of technology that is beneficial for society and the environment. It can be any form of technology that is easy to apply, such as digital technology, machines, and types of equipment. It covers not only sophisticated but also simple forms of technology. It is implemented in many areas, such as industry, education, etc. Product Design and Development Implementation involves designing and developing products for many applications. It includes identifying a market opportunity, clearly defining the user’s needs and problem, creating a proper solution for that problem, and validating the solution with real users. Technopreneur This topic includes identifying modern technologies and creating technological opportunities by presenting commercial products and services. It includes creating employment opportunities, empowering local resources, business diversification and decentralization, technological advancement, and capital formation. Information Technology and Information Systems This topic includes the application of technology involving the development, maintenance, and use of computer systems, software, and networks for the processing and distribution of data. It includes using information technology for education, services, and marketing. This topic also covers using information technology and systems to develop small and medium enterprises and empower communities. Education Technology This focuses on providing educational technology to experts, developers, teachers, students, and others with a professional or personal interest in educational technology. It covers the learning, teaching, and assessment process using technology.
