Alat ukur merupakan benda yang sering dan banyak dibutuhkan dalam kegiatan sehari-hari, sebagai contoh adalah alat ukur diameter. Alat ukur diameter yang sering digunakan saat ini adalah jangka sorong dan micrometer sekrup, dimana dalam pengukurannya harus mengetahui rumus perhitungan pada alat tersebut.
