Daun kersen (Muntigia calabura L.) dan daun teh hijau (Camellia sinensis L.) mempunyai senyawa metabolit sekunder yang berperan sebagai antibakteri. Senyawa yang berperan sebagai antibakteri pada daun teh adalah flavonoid, tanin, saponin dan alkaloid.
