Experimental Evaluation of Tali Bamboo Trusses with FRP Connections for Sustainable Structural Applications
Advance Sustainable Science, Engineering and Technology (ASSET)
Vol 7
, No 4
(2025)
Tali Bamboo is a local material that is widely utilized in traditional construction due to its availability, strength, and flexibility. However, weaknesses in the connection system are a major obstacle in its application as a structural element. This research aims to evaluate the strength and stiffness of tali bamboo joints using Fiber Reinforced Polymer (FRP) as joint reinforcement in plane trusses. The method used was experimental testing of three truss models with varying numbers of FRP lamin...

Vol 23
, No 2
(2025)
Background: Indonesia is entering an aging population phase, in line with the global increase in the number of older adults. The World Health Organization (WHO) reports that more than 700 million people are aged 65 years and over worldwide, a figure projected to rise sharply by 2050. In response, the Indonesian government established the Integrated Development Post (Posbindu) to promote early detection, monitoring, and prevention of non-communicable diseases among the elderly. Objective: This st...

Analysis Stability of Retaining Wall type Soldier Pile during Dewatering Work on Hospital Construction Site
Advance Sustainable Science, Engineering and Technology (ASSET)
Vol 7
, No 3
(2025)
Groundwater subsidence during dewatering work can be a serious challenge if soil conditions are unstable, potentially disrupting the stability of supporting structures such as soil retaining walls. This research analyzed the stability of soldier pile type soil retaining walls during the dewatering process in hospital construction projects in the BSD area. The data used included the results of Standard Penetration Test (N-SPT), monitoring of dewatering work, inclinometer readings, and stability...

Comparative Analysis of Observed and Empirical Rainfall Distribution for Flood Hydrograph Modeling
Advance Sustainable Science, Engineering and Technology (ASSET)
Vol 7
, No 3
(2025)
Flood disasters in Indonesia are persistent challenges during the rainy season, primarily due to intense rainfall and inadequate flood control. This study evaluates hourly rainfall to characterize hydrology and predict flood discharge more accurately, benefiting water infrastructure planning. The research used modified Mononobe methods, observational data, and rainfall-runoff modeling, including HEC-HMS simulations with the SCS-CN unit hydrograph. Observed rainfall simulated a flood discharge of...

Predicting Habitat Suitability of Mahseer Fish (Tor spp.) in Tropical River Systems Using MaxEnt and Google Earth Engine: A Geospatial Modeling Approach
Advance Sustainable Science, Engineering and Technology (ASSET)
Vol 7
, No 3
(2025)
Rivers are vital freshwater habitats that face threats of degradation and climate change. Mahseer fish, a key species, is in decline. This study predicted Mahseer fish habitats in Central Java using the Google Earth Engine and the MaxEnt machine learning algorithm. Environmental predictors, including NDVI, elevation, slope, river order, temperature, and rainfall, were extracted from Sentinel, SRTM, MODIS, and CHIRPS data. The model identified river order as the most influential variable (73%), f...

, No 3
(2025)
The purpose of this study is to identify the variables that affect profit growth. Profit growth is the study's dependent variable, and premium income, claim payments, risk-based capital, and investment returns are its independent variables. Information was gathered from insurance firms that were listed between 2019 and 2023 on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Ten businesses that satisfied specific requirements made up the study's sample. To get a complete picture of the link...

(2025)
The Dividend Payout Ratio (DPR) changes in food and beverage companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange between 2019 and 2023, which reflect shifts in dividend policy, are what spurred this study. Dividend policy is important since it helps to win over investors. Nonetheless, management frequently has to decide whether to pay dividends or keep profits for investments. Finding out how management ownership, profitability, leverage, and business size affect dividend policy i...

The Use of Rajagita Media (Digital Javanese Script) in Learning to Write Javanese Script
Kawruh: Journal of Language Education, Literature and Local Culture
Vol 7
, No 1
(2025)
Javanese script is a cultural heritage of the Indonesian nation that has high historical, philosophical, and aesthetic value. However, in the context of education, student interest in learning Javanese script is still relatively low. Low student interest results in low Javanese script writing skills in students. Lack of Javanese script writing skills results in low student learning outcomes. This occurs because students have difficulty distinguishing the form of Javanese script that is almost si...

(2025)
Making batik designs requires the ability to visualize ideas for motifs or decorations. This process relies on the ability to move the visual processing process which was originally still an idea into something real, which can be seen in the form of an image. The ability to visualize is important because from this process motifs, patterns and decorations can be created. This work is quite complicated, requires precision, patience and takes time. When there are many orders, the work of drawing mo...
